BTS are preparing to take the summer by storm after announcing their new album will be released in just a couple of months.

The K-pop stars first teased the news at the end of their final BTS Permission To Dance On Stage – Las Vegas show on Saturday night.

A 12-second video appeared on screen with the date 2022.06.10 and the message: ‘We Are Bulletproof.’

A short while later, a lengthier video was then posted on BTS’ official Twitter and featured a montage of clips of the group performing.

Rumours of an album release was then confirmed in a statement from their agency Big Hit Music, which read: ‘BTS will be back with another new album on June 10, 2022.

Details on the new album will be provided in a separate notice at a later date. We look forward to your love and support for BTS’s new album. Thank you.’

It promises to be a huge month for the hitmakers as June 10 is BTS Festa, a celebratory event that is acknowledged by BTS fans every year, while June 13 will mark the ninth anniversary of the group’s debut.

The news arrived just as BTS, consisting of V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, Suga, RM, and J-Hope, completed their four-night concert series at the Allegiant Stadium in Sin City. They kicked off their four-night Permission To Dance residency in style, staying in town after the Grammys, although it wasn’t without a hitch.

It was previously announced that Jin’s performance at the shows would have to be scaled back as he suffered a finger injury

Big Hit explained in a statement: ‘As we informed you on March 19, Jin had injured his left index finger as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged and underwent surgery to repair the extensor in the finger.

‘It was the opinion of the medical personnel that Jin should refrain from vigorous movement as any impact on his finger due to the amount of activities increased more than necessary, while he is still recovering from the injury, may cause another surgery.’

Saudi Arabia has announced that Muslims in the country will celebrate the Eid-el-fitri on Monday.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court as saying the Shawwal crescent was not sighted on Saturday and thus Ramadan continues on Sunday.

Muslims worldwide fast from sunrise to sunset during the Islamic month of Ramadan. The sighting of the crescent moon on Saturday would have marked the end of Ramadan and the start of the next month of Shawwal.

In Nigeria, PREMIUM TIMES reported that the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) asked Nigerian Muslims to look out for the crescent moon on Saturday.

As of 6 p.m. Nigerian time, the NSCIA has not announced that the moon has been sighted anywhere in the country.

Should the moon not be sighted on Saturday in Nigeria, then Muslims in the country will, like their Saudi counterpart, fast on Sunday and celebrate the Eid on Monday.

The UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait and Bahrain also announced that the first day of Eid al-Fitr will be May 2, AlArabiya news network quoted the International Astronomical Center as saying on Twitter.

Eid al-Fitr celebrations occur at the end of Ramadan which lasts 29 or 30 days based on when the crescent moon is sighted.

Muslims follow a lunar calendar consisting of 12 months in a year of 354 or 355 days

The Big Pink return with ‘No Angels’, their first track in a decade

Exclusive: The Mercury Prize nominated London group are back with their first new music in a decade

The Big Pink have returned with ‘No Angels’, which marks the first track from the London group in ten years. Listen to it exclusively below on Rolling Stone UK.

The new track sees the ‘Dominos’ group heading back to their roots with darkened and prog-tinged alt pop. It marks their first piece of new material since the release of their second album ‘Future This’ in 2012.

A new music video directed by the band’s frontman Robbie Furze also sees raw and fuzzy visuals providing a suitable backdrop for the track.

Speaking about the new song, Furze said: “It’s a track reflecting that moment when you understand that all you’ve set your sights on has led to a place far away from where you should be and everything you truly love.

“It took sacrificing everything I’d built in London and moving to Los Angeles, a place I thought I needed to be in order to achieve my dreams, for me to realise that it was about much more than just myself. I had a moment of clarity when I understood what’s truly important and what I needed to do to get back to everything and everyone that I loved. That’s what this song is about.”

Furze also explained how the band initially went on hiatus in 2014 after he felt the strain of musical partner Milo Cordell’s departure in 2013 when a tour of Asia “finished us off”.

“I fell into DJing in Los Angeles. London was on a bit of a downer at the time, especially if you were in a rock band, and there seemed to be a lot of English musicians moving to LA – it was the place to be,” he said.

“A friend of mine was opening a bar in Silverlake called Tenants of the Trees and it felt like the beginning of a movement. It had the beautiful models, the token celebs, the bands I love… There I was with Black Motorcycle Club and Queens of the Stone Age, and I was Robbie from the Big Pink, DJing on Tuesday nights. It was fun.”

“And that’s when things started happening again because there are a lot of lost artists in LA; people who have gone out there with their talent and lost their way. LA’s great when you’re on the up but if you find yourself having fallen out of favour it can be hard to get back on the proverbial treadmill. But if you can get those people in the room for a moment, lovely things can emerge from the chaos.”

He is now joined in the group by longtime drummer Akiko Matsuura, while Nottingham based artist Charlie Barker joins the group on bass guitar.

Their return, he adds, was also hastened by advice received by Wolf Alice drummer Joel Amey – who suggested he resurrect the group for a US tour with the Mercury Prize winning outfit in 2018.

That reinvigorated me because going on tour is like going to war: it’s so hard but you feel invigorated by the pain, especially if you are back on a support tour, shlepping your own amplifiers around. It gives you a tangible feeling on what it means to be a musician,” he adds.

TEKASHI 6IX9INE RECIEVED PUNCHED IN THE HEAD As He Leaves Miami Club

7:28 AM PT — Tekashi tells us, “He scuffed my shoulder by my neck. He also connected with the shoulder of my security guard. I didn’t know this guy. There was no prior dispute.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine learned the hard way he’s still got a ton of enemies, taking a punch to the back of the head as he exited a nightclub with his crew.

We’ve obtained video from inside Pilos Tacos Tequilla Garden in Miami at about 2 AM where you can see security clear the way for Tekashi and his team. Apparently — one club-goer wasn’t a fan of Tekashi’s music, snitching, or maybe even his hairstyle — and decided to throw a punch as the rapper walked by.

It looks like the blow landed, hitting Tekashi in the back of the head, and the dude who threw the punch takes off.

As for why he was in the club, Tekashi made an appearance and performed one song from behind the DJ booth, so it appears he’s trying to test the waters on how he might be received by the average joe … apparently one guy wasn’t feeling it.

Tekashi, for what it’s worth, seemed unfazed by the attack and was allegedly signing autographs afterward outside the club.

Tekashi was released from home confinement in connection to his Nine Trey Gangsters trial in August of 2020. The rapper worked with law enforcement to provide information on the wrong-doings of the gang and its members, cutting himself a significant deal.

While he’s released music since … Tekashi has maintained a relatively low profile, but has recently popped up on social media.

We reached out to Tekashi regarding the punch … so far, no word back

This is the guy who “punched” 6ix9ine in Russia. He made a claim on #Reddit months back he would do it and also said he “only” slapped him b/c he would go to jail he if punched him 🤨😏🤣 https://t.co/e6rGi9kujB
