In April, Drake sparked speculation with an out-of-the-blue photo dump on Instagram. The last snap in the carousel post showed a photo of the ‘God’s Plan’ singer in an embrace with none other than Taylor Swift.

It didn’t take online sleuths long to determine that it was a throwback photo circa 2016 – many have alleged that it could be from Drake’s unforgettable 30th birthday party.

The caption read: “They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work.”

The enigmatic sentence instantly led fans to theorise that Drake could be helping Taylor with the re-recording’s of her ‘1989‘ album, which is widely considered to be the next album to get the ‘Taylor’s Version’ treatment.

Taylor famously attended Drake’s extravagant 30th birthday bash, among many other familiar faces such as Katy Perry and John Mayer.

The ‘One Dance’ rapper had a slew of celebrities to choose from when posting a picture from the party on Instagram, but he opted to share a mysterious photo with Miss Swift.

At the time (October 2016), rumours were swirling that the stars were in talks to collaborate on music together, with many suggesting that they’d been spending time together in the studio.

The pair have long been vocal about their adoration of each other’s work, it’s alleged that they began their friendship online following this tweet, until they eventually met at the aforementioned VMAs just two years later.

The musicians have been friends for over a decade, with the country-turned-pop star having released a whopping seven more albums and two re-recordings since Drake praised ‘Speak Now’ all those years ago!

A throwback video of the Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid Balogun, resurfaces amidst Banky W’s claim of being disappointed that he missed his wedding.

This comes following an interview granted by the singer’s former boss, Banky W, where he spoke about his wedding party.

A throwback video of Wizkid from way back, however, shed light on his possible reasons for not taking his former boss’s wedding invitation with utmost priority.

In the interview, Starboy revealed that he left EME Records to become independent and at that moment he had no penny to his name despite being ‘Wizkid,’ the superstar singer.

The audience vibed with the groove, bouncing to the beat of the song. Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, and Bieber’s wife Hailey could all be seen head-bopping and lip-syncing to “Peaches.” The performance proved to be a challenge for the censors, as they bleeped out portions of the song’s chorus (presumably the “that’s that shit” adlib).

Earlier on the red carpet, Giveon expressed his desire to collaborate with Adele in the future. “Adele, if you’re watching, I would love to do a powerful ballad with you,” he said during an interview with Laverne Cox. “We can talk about the specifics once we’re there, but that’s it. I’m putting it out there [in the universe.]”

“Peaches” is nominated for four Grammys, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best Music Video. Justice’s “Triple Chucks Deluxe” edition is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year.

Burna Boy rewarded for being the first African to-sell out Ziggo Dome

Burna Boy has been given a plaque marking the feat as the first African artiste to sell-out Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Nigerian singer sold out the 17,000-capacity dome in Amsterdam when he held his Space Drift Concert, which started on Thursday, April 14.

16,500 fans of the ‘African Giant’ crooner joined him in the Dome as he performed to their satisfaction during his 2-day concert.

To celebrate Burna Boy’s achievement, the management of the facility presented a special plaque artwork to him.

Ziggo Dome is an indoor arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is named after the Dutch cable TV provider Ziggo.

Burna Boy has been on a European tour for a while now. He has already performed in Geneva Switzerland and other countries where he performed the remix of Black Sherif’s ‘Second Sermon.’

In less than two weeks, he will perform at Madison Square in New York, U.S.A.

He will continue his European tour from June to August.

Rema confirms a collaboration with Olamide, just days after confirming multiple collaborations with Fireboy DML. The Nigerian singer previously stated that a deluxe edition of his debut album is on the way. He revealed this while answering a few questions on his Instagram story, and he also confirmed his plans to include trap songs on the deluxe edition of ‘Rave and Roses.’

Rema, who previously stated that he only collaborates with his friends, hinted at a possible collaboration with Olamide in a recent tweet. He wrote, “I was in the studio with BADDO last night and all I can say is”

With this, Rema confirms that he may work with Fireboy DML and Olamide on his deluxe version of ‘Rave and Roses.’

Banky W claims Wizkid owes his record label 3 albums

According to Banky W, Wizkid released two solo albums before leaving EME, rather than the five required by his contract.

The Nigerian singer, music executive, and politician spoke with Bounce Networks’ Ebuka. Banky W spoke about his deal with Wizkid and how they ended things in the interview with his wife and nollywood actress, Adesua.

When discussing his contract with Wizkid and how they parted ways, he stated that Wizkid wanted to leave despite the fact that he had not fulfilled the terms of his contract. He revealed that Wizkid only released two albums, as opposed to the five stipulated in his contract. In his words,

“I think it was a 5 album deal and he had done 2 solo albums… I think he still owed 3 more albums but he wanted to leave. And for me, that was enough because I don’t want anybody to stay where they want to stay.”

When asked if he tried to talk him out of it, he replied, “No, because I could tell that mentally he was ready to do other things. For me, I just felt like some things are just meant to happen for a season and that was the season we were meant to work together.”

Recall that Wizkid joined Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 2009 and released two albums, ‘Superstar‘ (2011) and ‘Ayo‘ (2014), before leaving the label in 2014.

A woman, who has been stalking Drake and giving him and his son death threats, was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the star and his family.

As per details, the Hotline Bling hitmaker on Tuesday got a three-year restraining order against the stalker, identified as Mesha Collins, in Los Angeles court.

TMZ reported that the Canadian pop star was not present for Tuesday’s hearing as the judge ruled that Collins had been ‘given timely and proper notice’ to defend herself in the case.

The God’s Plan singer claimed in court documents in March that Collins, 29, “has sent messages saying she wishes me dead, and that I should shoot myself and my son with a bullet.”

“As a result of Ms Collins’ harassment and obsession with me, I have suffered and continue to suffer emotional distress and am concerned for my safety and that of my family,” he said.
